Arnaud Lambert Saumur Rouge Mazurique 2024 CS20231031 concocting one of the Distillery’sBreze is famous for Chenin Blanc, which makes Clos Mazurique the odd one out: a walled parcel on the same hill given over entirely to Cabernet Franc. The vines average around 40 years old on sand over limestone, cropped at about 45 hl ha and farmed organically as part of Arnaud Lambert's 40 plus hectares in Saumur. Fermentation and aging happen in stainless steel and concrete vat, with no oak at all, so the fruit and the limestone come through
