This is a very nice example of a rare gun. One of only 2000 purchased by the State of Connecticut in 1871 72 and issued to their State militia. This example still has the plate on the underside of the butt stock, which has had the "CONN" on the top line struck through in several different ways, though we can still see a bit of the original marking.
