Description

The shape of the quillon was also altered

finding much success in fighter wings and specialized ground attack units called Schlachtgeschwader (Battle Wings or Strike Wings) from October 1943 onwards

It still has the original high quality German Silver chin scales

With the increased field of view possible with curved lenses ‘Newbolds’ and other flat glass goggles became less common in the air

makes this a fabulous lot of WWI aviation history

Original U.S. Civil War Era Springfield-Style Percussion Musket Half-Stocked for the Frontier Replica Non-Firing Pistols & Rifles The shape of the quillonOriginal item: Only One Available. We think this started life around 1816 as a Flintlock Musket most likely U. S. made, based on the large lock plate's shape. It was then converted to percussion in the 1830's and may well have seen service for the Confederacy in the Civil War. It saw its final years half stocked for civilian use, most likely on the frontier. It has come from very long term storage and is offered as it came, un restored and uncleaned.
