This is a very nice unmolested A-2 flying jacket from a well know Bomb Squadron of the ETO

Declared limited standard on 6 April 1944 with the adoption of the Grenade

and the barrel bears numerous British Proof Marks near the breech

Following guidelines provided by the BATF: two inches of the original receiver have been removed and discarded then replaced with solid steel which has been expertly grafted into place. All of which was then re welded onto solid bar stock. The bolt and recoil assembly have been permanently cut
