We have just received a small quantity of these 100+ year old genuine U. S. M 1878 leather haversack straps, as used during the Indian Wars Era following the U. S. Civil War. Each measures about 40 inches in overall length, and were intended to attach to the two "D Rings" on the back of the M 1878 haversack. They have hooks on both ends, as well as adjustment hooks to change the length. Offered in good condition but
