The helmet retains the original olive green paint and has an original WWI era RF (Rpublique Franaise) "Flaming Bomb" marked Infantry badge attached to the front. The helmet shell does look to have seen some past oxidation that was cleaned away, and probably was repainted at some point during the war. The helmet is fitted
