The Leuchtpistol 42 is of all steel construction, uses 26. 5 mm flares, and was available in zinc or black finish. It superseded the previous LP34, which was made of aluminum, and took longer to make than the stamped steel body of the LP42. This example bears original German maker code; euh, that stands
