This is a fantastic A2 leather flight jacket issued to a member of the crew of the B 17 Flying Fortress # 42 31677 known as SATAN'S MATE which was assigned to the 548th Bomb Squadron, 385th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. We have been unable to trace the exact airman as the name tag has been removed. The left chest bears an original 548th Bomb Squadron insignia patch which is painted canvas and features the cartoon character
