This is original an English made (not Nepalese) Pattern 1853 muzzle loading rifle. It was converted to a breech loading Snider rifle sometime in the 1860s by the British Military. The lock plate is marked with a Crown VR and is dated 1858 TOWER. The Snider breech block door is marked Snider Patent and British proof and inspection mars can be found in multiple locations on the gun. IMA recovered very few true English
