There's more austerity to this wine than in most vintages
The 2008s show a work in progress as Conterno only had control of the vineyard for a few months that year
complex blend of 60% Grenache
Tasted at the Cos d’Estournel vertical at the property
mocha and floral nuances and slow-building tobacco and leather elements
Clos Dubreuil Vintage:2012 There's more austerity to thisEarth, spice, smoke, tobacco and plum notes create the aromatic profile. Produced from a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, the wine was aged in 100% new, French oak, the wine is rich, sweet and fresh, with a smoky, black raspberry finish. There is no reason to age this any longer as it's not going to get any better.
