When a magnetic field is placed near the tube, the vane will deflect towards a small electrode, creating an electrical contact. Upon removal of the magnetic field, the vane will return to its original position and make contact with a different metal contact, resulting in a switching action known as 'Single Pole, Double Throw'. If
